  • Contact details – name, phone number, email address, and mailing address (collected via our booking form, phone calls, or email).

  • Property details – inspection address, MLS number, square footage, year built, and similar facts (from the booking form, your agent, or public records).

  • Payment data – last four digits of your card, billing address, and transaction ID (captured by our secure payment processor).

  • Inspection data – photos, notes, findings, and digital signatures recorded in the Spectora inspection platform.

  • Website usage data (cookies) – IP address, browser type, pages visited, and basic analytics collected when you browse our site.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Schedule, confirm, and perform home inspections

  • Generate digital inspection reports through Spectora

  • Process payments and send invoices

  • Communicate about findings, follow-up services, or scheduling changes

  • Improve our website and customer service

  • Comply with legal or insurance obligations

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only:

  1. Service providers – Spectora (report software), payment processors, cloud-storage, email platform.

  2. Real-estate agents or authorized parties – only when you ask us to send them your report.

  3. Legal or safety reasons – if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or clients.

All vendors are contractually bound to safeguard your data and use it only for the services we request.

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) on our website and Spectora portal

  • Secure, PCI-compliant payment processing

  • Role-based access so only authorized personnel view inspection files

  • Routine backup and software updates

No method is 100 % secure, but we follow industry best practices to protect your information.

5. Data Retention

Inspection files and related personal data are kept for at least five (5) years—the period recommended by most E&O insurers—unless you request deletion sooner (where allowed by law).

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access or update personal information. Email us at info@inspectahome.com and we’ll provide or correct the data we hold.

  • Download your inspection report. Use the secure Spectora client-portal link we send after your inspection.

  • Request deletion of data (where permitted). Send a written request by email; note that some records must be kept for legal or insurance reasons.

  • Opt out of marketing emails. Click “unsubscribe” in any marketing message or email us to be removed from the list.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal first-party cookies for site functionality and analytics. Third-party cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) help us understand traffic patterns. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not function fully.
